Airvent Social Responsibility – making a difference
Airvent believes that social responsibility is a critical element of the company’s ethos. We believe that social responsibility is an ethical framework, and that Airvent has an obligation to act for the benefit of society at large. Below are a few of the various social responsibility initiatives that Airvent has supported.
DANIEL AND FRIENDS FUND
The Daniel and Friends Fund is a Cape Town based non-profit organisation that supports children with special needs. Airvent teamed together to support this initiative by donating 40 Santa shoe boxes, all filled with various necessities.

HVAC TRAINING ACADEMY
The HVAC Training Company was the foundation of Airvent’s social responsibility. Airvent identified a lack of technical expertise and experience in the industry and established the academy.
Not only does the training academy continuously train and uplift Airvent’s staff, it was established with the purpose of training the underprivileged to create employment. Airvent has collaborated with The College of Cape Town to form an informal partnership whereby they send their learners to the HVAC Training Academy and then to Airvent for practical experience.
GENADENDAL SCHOOL PROJECT
Airvent wanted to create a dream for the scholars of Genadendal school and offer them a future that is filled with hope and opportunities. We developed a program that offers apprenticeships to three Genadendal scholars, once they have successfully achieved their Matric. These apprenticeships start in January every year.
To ensure the success of the program, we have designed a holiday program for these scholars, whereby they join the Airvent Team for 5 days, during their mid-year school holidays. During this period Airvent feeds and houses them and coaches them on the HVAC industry, as well as life skills.
AIRVENT SUPPORTS THE RED CROSS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
Airvent is a proud sponsor of the Red Cross Children’s Hospital Trust. Our most recent contributions have gone towards the new Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. It was heart-warming seeing the patients, nurses and doctors settling into their new space. It makes us proud to be able to make a difference in people’s lives.
CANCER RELAY FOR LIFE 2017- TEAM TINKERBELLS
Airvent Airconditioning & Ventilation sponsored branded t-shirts for ‘Team Tinkerbells’ who participated in the Cancer Relay for Life 2017 at the Boy Louw Sports field in Paarl.
The event started with a full lap of all the Cancer Survivors which they call the ‘Survivor Round’. Following that, all teams joined and started their 12 hour relay walk.
